The Origin Story

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Chopperstylzz found early discipline through martial arts, laying the foundation for the focused intensity that would later define his artistic practice. Creative expression was always present, but it took an unexpected turn in 2017. When he was Incarcerated for two bank robberies.

During his Federal Prison sentence he was introduced to painting. He found solace and continued the artistic journey. Traditional canvases became unavailable in 2024 rather than surrender his artistic vision he innovated. What started as necessity — cutting and sewing discarded prison uniforms into stretched canvases — evolved into the revolutionary FEDWEAR collection.

With help from a network of fellow convicts, these khaki uniforms were transformed into the foundation for artworks that carry unprecedented provenance and cultural weight.
